How to Treat Crohn's Disease With Pepto Bismol
Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that can be painful and lead to very serious complications. Some of its symptoms include diarrhea, bloody stool, abdominal pain, ulcers, unexplained fever and a reduction in appetite. There is no known cure for Crohn's, but there are many medications, especially anti-inflammatory drugs, that can help control the disease.In addition to prescription medications, over-the-counter treatments like Pepto-Bismol can help treat some of the symptoms of Crohn's.

Instructions
If you're experiencing diarrhea as a symptom of your Crohn's, take the recommended dose of Pepto-Bismol of two tablespoons when symptoms occur. Alternately, take one chewable tablet.
Continue taking Pepto-Bismol every 30 minutes to 1 hour as needed. Don't exceed 8 doses in a 24-hour period, and don't use Pepto-Bismol for more than two days.
If your symptoms continue, and diarrhea lasts for more than two days, consult your doctor. Be sure to consume plenty of liquids to keep from dehydration.
