What does an early miscarriage look like?
Symptoms of early miscarriage:
- Vaginal bleeding. This is the most common symptom of early miscarriage. The bleeding may be light or heavy, and it may be accompanied by cramps.
- Cramping. Cramps are another common symptom of early miscarriage. They may be mild or severe, and they may come and go.
- Backache. Backache is a less common symptom of early miscarriage, but it can be a sign of a more serious problem, such as an ectopic pregnancy.
- Loss of pregnancy symptoms. If you have been experiencing pregnancy symptoms, such as morning sickness or breast tenderness, you may start to lose those symptoms if you are miscarrying.
- Tissue passing through the vagina. If you are miscarrying, you may pass tissue through the vagina. This tissue may be small or large, and it may be pink, red, or brown.
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of early miscarriage, it is important to see your doctor right away. They can perform tests to confirm whether or not you are miscarrying and provide you with support and treatment.
