Gonorrhea Transmission: Can Bacteria Survive on Fabric?

Gonorrhea is caused by a type of bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The bacteria can be spread through unprotected sex, sharing sex toys, or coming into contact with infected fluids. It is not possible to get gonorrhea from wearing panties that were once infected, as the bacteria cannot survive outside of the body for very long.
