Bubble Baths and UTIs: Separating Fact from Fiction

There is no evidence that bubble baths cause urinary tract infections (UTIs). UTIs are typically caused by bacteria entering the urethra and traveling to the bladder. It is possible for bacteria to be present in bubble bath water, but it is unlikely that these bacteria would be able to cause an infection if they come into contact with the skin.
