The Myth of a Mindless Mind: Understanding Brain Activity
The human brain is constantly active, even when we are asleep. It is impossible to think of nothing because our brain is always processing information. Even when we are not consciously thinking about anything, our brain is still working to keep us alive and functioning.
The closest we can come to thinking of nothing is to enter a state of deep meditation or mindfulness. In this state, we are able to quiet our minds and focus on the present moment. However, even in this state, our brain is still active and processing information.
