The time it takes for chickenpox bumps to come out fully can vary from person to person. Typically, the bumps will start to appear within 10-21 days after exposure to the virus. The bumps will then develop over the course of 1-2 days, reaching their full size. After reaching their full size, the bumps will typically crust over and begin to heal within 1-2 weeks.
