CT Scan and Menstruation: Is a Period Required?

A period, or menstrual bleeding, is not required for a computed tomography (CT) scan. A CT scan is a medical imaging procedure that uses X-rays and advanced computer processing to create detailed images of the inside of the body. It does not involve the reproductive organs or menstrual cycle.
