What does a tsh test of 2.8 mean?
A thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) test measures the level of TSH in your blood. TSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormones.
A TSH level of 2.8 mIU/L is within the normal range, which is 0.45 to 4.5 mIU/L. This means that your thyroid gland is functioning normally.
However, it's important to note that TSH levels can vary from person to person and can also change over time. If you have any concerns about your thyroid function, it's best to talk to your doctor.
