A malignant tumor of the stomach is a type of cancer that starts in the stomach. It is also known as gastric cancer or stomach cancer. It occurs when cells in the lining of the stomach start to grow out of control and form a tumor. Malignant tumors can spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver, lungs, and lymph nodes. Stomach cancer is the fourth most common cancer worldwide and the second leading cause of cancer death.
