Cervical Lordosis and Muscle Spasms: Understanding the Connection
Muscle spasms in the neck can cause the normal curvature of the cervical spine (cervical lordosis) to be lost. Normally, the cervical spine has a slight inward curve when viewed from the side. When muscles in the neck are in spasm, they can pull the spine out of alignment and cause the curve to reverse direction. This loss of normal curvature can put pressure on the nerves and spinal cord, leading to pain, stiffness, and other symptoms.Cervical Cancer - Related Articles
