Osteoblast: Understanding Bone Cell Development
The medical term for a developing bone cell is an osteoblast. Osteoblasts are cells that are responsible for the formation of new bone tissue. They are derived from stem cells in the bone marrow and differentiate into osteoblasts when they come into contact with the surface of a bone. Osteoblasts then secrete a matrix of proteins and minerals that hardens into bone tissue.Bone Cancer - Related Articles
