What does the bicuspid valve look like?
The bicuspid valve has two cusps or flaps of tissue that open and close to allow blood to flow in and out of the heart. The cusps are attached to the heart muscle by chordae tendineae, which are thin, string-like tendons. The bicuspid valve is also known as the mitral valve.Open Heart Surgery - Related Articles
