- Follow your healthcare provider's instructions

- Avoid sexual activity or strenuous activity

- Sit in warm baths several time a day to help with pain and to keep the area clean

- Apply cold packs to the area for pain control

- Take pain medication as prescribed

Possible Causes of the Cyst not healing:

- Inadequate drainage

- Infection

- Sutures came loose

- Foreign body

- Cancer

Contact your healthcare provider if the cyst does not heal within a few weeks, worsens, becomes infected, or if you experience any new or worsening symptoms such as fever, chills, or severe pain.
