Head Lice: Does Cold Weather Kill Lice?
Putting stuffed toys outside in 15-degree weather will not kill head lice. Head lice require a specific temperature range of 98.6°F to 102.2°F to survive and reproduce. Exposing stuffed toys to cold weather will not reach the necessary temperatures to kill lice and eggs.
