When is a water deprivation test stopped?
A water deprivation test is stopped:
- When the body weight loss reaches 5%. This is done to prevent a significant loss of weight and other health problems.
- When they develop fatigue, weakness, or hypotension. The deprivation also stops when the animal’s activity decreases due to weakness or fatigue.
