- Immobilization, neck immobilization, and airway and breathing should be checked in human patients before veterinary care.
Veterinary Care
- Treat life threatening condition that may be affecting dogs.
- Stop excessive bleeding.
- Ensure airway is un obstructed and breathing is adequate if the dog has difficulty breathing.
Can't Leave Dogs
- If the canine patient appears to be in serious condition, the dog shouldn't be left in a vehicle to prevent further injuries or death.
