CPR Compression Rate with Advanced Airway: 100-120 Per Minute
For a 2-person CPR rescuers with an advanced airway, the recommended compression rate is between 100-120 compressions per minute. This rate is consistent with the American Heart Association's (AHA) guidelines for adult CPR. Compression should:
1. Be delivered at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
2. Allows complete recoil of the chest between compression.
3. Provide a compression depth of at least 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) on adults.
4. Given on the center of the chest.
5. Should never pause CPR to reposition the AED pads unless an AED is not currently attached to the patient.
