What is maneuver in CPR?
Maneuvers in CPR include chest compressions and rescue breaths.
During chest compressions:
- Compress the person's chest at least 2 inches, but not more than 2.4 inches or more deeply by pressing hard and fast in the center of the chest using both hands, interlacing your fingers
- Give approximately 100 to 120 compressions per minute
During rescue breaths:
- pinch the person's nose or seal their mouth with yours
- deliver 2 slow breaths 1 second each allowing the chest to rise fully between breaths
