How to Be Emotionally Strong

Step 1) Emotional strength is necessary in the fulfillment of any dream. Most people fail in business, for example, not because of a bad business idea but because they didn't have the emotional strength to overcome the necessary obstacles. The first step in having emotional strength is not to allow anything to effect you too high or too low. Remain calm, analytical, and persistent regardless of the situation.
Step 2) A good way to start growing emotional strength--if, for example, you were born with a temperamental personality--is to meditate. Meditation will calm you down and make you less reactive to people and circumstances. Also, decrease the amount of alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee you ingest--these substances have a way of making you temperamental.
Step 3) The third step in becoming emotionally strong is to remain focused on your ultimate goal--whatever it is--instead of the obstacles along the way.
