How to Deal with Depression
When depressed we all tend to lay at home and not want to do anything but sleep. Get up, shower and go out anywhere, even if it's just to window shop.
Listen to upbeat music. Put on a lively station and sing along to joyful, inspirational music.
Write about your depression. Buy a journal at your local pharmacy or school supply store and write out all your feelings in detail. Cry if you have to but be sure not to hold it all in.
Reach out to your family and friends and spend the most time possible with them. They are the ones that look up to you or support and love you no matter what. Speak to them about your depression and just keep their company.
Keep busy. Take up some new hobbies or bring back those old ones you loved that you have put aside. Remember the things that bring you joy and do them.
Join a gym or start exercising at your local park. Working out will not only make you look better but also feel better. When you work out it causes the body to release euphoria-inducing hormones.
