Medicare and Pap Smears: Coverage for Annual Screening

Medicare covers one Pap test every 24 months for women under 65 with Medicare Part B and no history of certain cervical conditions unless your doctor recommends more frequent screenings based on factors including your health history. After turning 65, Medicare no longer covers routine Pap tests, but you may get one if deemed medically necessary based on your unique medical history.
