How long do unpaid hospital bills stay on credit report?
Medical debt and collections typically stay on your credit report for 7 years after the delinquency date, though the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) allows for medical data as old as 25 months old to appear in some cases. But starting July 1, 2023, medical bills under $500 won't appear on credit reports at all (though unpaid medical debt owed to collections accounts is not covered).Medical Billing - Related Articles
