Instructions
After successfully completing a nursing program, register for the NCLEX by contacting the state board of nurse examiners for a registration form. Or apply online at www.pearsonvue.com/nclex.
Reads the registration form's directions carefully. Any missed information will delay processing time. Payment must be made by certified check.
After receiving verification of eligibility from the board, register with Pearson Vue to take either the the NCLEX-RN (Registered Nurse) or NCLEX-PN (Practical Nurse; applies for Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse).
Applicants will be scheduled a test date within 30 days. Results are mailed out by state nursing boards, typically one month after testing.
