Can a nurse call medicine in to pharmacy with only the doctors dea number?

In the United States, nurses are NOT permitted to directly communicate their own medication orders to or receive drug orders/prescriptions directly from physicians. All calls must be conducted solely by physician, PA, NP, or Pharmacist.
