In the United States, a nuclear medicine technologist (NMT) is not qualified to perform computed tomography (CT) scans. CT is a separate imaging modality from nuclear medicine, and requires specialized training and certification to perform.
To perform CT scans, one must be a certified Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist.
