Puppy Stool Guide: What's Normal & When to Worry
Normal puppy stool:
- Consistancy: Soft and pasty
- Colour: Yellowish to brown
- Frequency: 1-3 times a day
Abnormal puppy stool:
- Consistancy: Hard, dry, or runny
- Colour: Black, red, or green
- Frequency: More than 3 times a day or less than once every 2 days
- Mucus or blood: Present in the stool
- Straining or discomfort: During bowel movements
If you notice any abnormal signs in your puppy's stool, it's important to contact your veterinarian.
