How many vaccines does a 10 year old need?
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a 10-year-old child should receive the following vaccines:
- Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP) booster shot
- Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine
- Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine
- Hepatitis B vaccine (if not previously vaccinated)
- Hepatitis A vaccine (if not previously vaccinated)
- Meningococcal vaccine
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine
It is important to note that some vaccines may be given earlier or later depending on the child's individual circumstances. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider to ensure that your child is up to date on all recommended vaccines.
