Fertility After RU-486: Can You Get Pregnant 2 Years Later?
It is possible to get pregnant after taking the abortion medication RU-486, a medication used for termination of early pregnancies up to 10 weeks. However, the likelihood of pregnancy depends on when after taking RU-486 you are attempting to conceive.
Two years after taking RU-486, your chances of getting pregnant are the same as they were before taking the medication. This is because the effects of RU-486 are temporary, and your fertility should return to normal within a few menstrual cycles.
However, it is always important to use contraception if you are not trying to conceive, regardless of whether you have taken RU-486 or not.
