Missed Periods After Tubal Ligation: Understanding Pregnancy Risk
It is very unlikely to be pregnant if you have missed your period two months in a row and have had your tubes cut and tied.
When a woman's fallopian tubes are cut and tied, it is a surgical procedure called a tubal ligation. This procedure blocks or seals the fallopian tubes, which are the pathways that carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus.
Once the fallopian tubes are cut and tied, it is highly unlikely that any eggs can travel through them to be fertilized. As a result, it is almost impossible for a woman to get pregnant.
However, it is important to note that no surgery is 100% effective, so there is a very small chance that you could still become pregnant. If you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it is recommended to take a pregnancy test to confirm.
Additionally, if you have experienced two months of missed periods after your tubal ligation, it is important to see a doctor to rule out any other underlying medical conditions that may be causing the missed periods.
