A blood pregnancy test is not immediate. It typically takes a few hours to several days to get the results of a blood pregnancy test. This is because the blood test measures the levels of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is produced by the placenta after implantation of a fertilized egg. It takes time for the hCG levels to build up in the blood to detectable levels.
