What does fundus in pregnancy mean?
Fundus in pregnancy refers to the top/uppermost point of the uterus. During pregnancy, as the uterus grows and expands to accommodate the developing fetus, the fundus also rises. Doctors or healthcare providers measure the distance between the pubic bone to fundus in centimeters from early pregnancy until delivery(weeks 20 to 38). This distance closely corresponds to the gestational age or how far along you have progressed in your pregnancy. Measuring the fundal height allows doctors to evaluate fetal growth properly.Pregnancy & Health - Related Articles
