Pregnancy Weight & Fetal Movement: What You Need to Know
It is not necessarily true that being overweight before pregnancy will affect when you start feeling movement from the baby later in the pregnancy. While there are some factors that can influence when a woman starts to feel fetal movement, including the position of the placenta, the amount of amniotic fluid, and the woman's own body size, there is no direct correlation between being overweight and feeling movement later.
Many women, regardless of their weight, start to feel fetal movement around 16-20 weeks of gestation. However, some women may feel movement earlier or later, and this can vary from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy.
