How to Make a Honey and Sage Deep Conditioner
Although shampooing cleans your hair, it removes the natural oils that keep it manageable and healthy-looking. Make your own deep conditioner to apply after shampooing your hair. You will need natural ingredients from an herb shop or select home-and-garden shop, as will items commonly found in the kitchen. No special safety precautions need to be taken since the deep conditioner you will make is nontoxic.Things You'll Need
- Microwave-safe plastic bowl, 32 oz.
- Shea butter
- Clary sage oil
- Honey
- Teaspoon
- Tablespoon
- Measuring cup
- Plain yogurt
- Egg
- Rubber spatula
- Microwave
Instructions
Put 1 tsp. of Clary sage oil in the microwave-safe plastic bowl. Add 1 tsp. shea butter followed by 1 tsp. honey.
Scoop up 2 tbsp. plain yogurt and place it in a measuring cup. Break an egg and add it to the measuring cup.
Stir the mixture in the measuring cup with a rubber spatula until the contents are evenly mixed.
Place the bowl in the microwave and set it for 1 minute. Remove the bowl from the microwave once the time is up and place it on the kitchen counter. Let the bowl sit undisturbed for an hour.
Pour the content from the measuring cup into the bowl. Scrape the inside of the cup with the spatula to get all of the contents into the bowl.
Stir the mixture inside the bowl with the spatula in a clockwise direction for 3 minutes. Dampen your hair. Rub your conditioner briskly into your scalp and hair. Let it stay on your hair for an hour before rinsing it off.
