Early Pregnancy Tests: When Can You Get an Accurate Result?
It is possible to take a pregnancy test as early as three weeks after unprotected intercourse. However, it is important to note that the accuracy of pregnancy tests taken this early can vary. This is because the levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the hormone that pregnancy tests detect, may not be high enough to be detected by the test at this early stage.
For the most accurate results, it is recommended to wait until at least one week after your missed period to take a pregnancy test. If you take a test earlier than this, and you receive a negative result, it is possible that you may still be pregnant, and you may want to consider taking another test in a few days.
