Suicidal Thoughts? Immediate Help & Support Resources
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or if you feel as if you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room for immediate help.
If you are not in immediate danger but are still experiencing suicidal thoughts, there are several resources available to help.
- Talk to someone you trust. This could be a friend, family member, therapist, or other trusted individual.
- Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The Lifeline provides free, confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). You can also chat online at suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
- Text HOME to 741-741. This service provides free, confidential crisis counseling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Visit the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. This website provides information on suicide prevention, including resources for getting help, coping with suicidal thoughts, and supporting someone who is suicidal.
- If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
