Safe & Gentle Ways to Remove Earwax from Your Baby
Earwax helps keep the ears clean and healthy. While some earwax is fine, if it starts to build up it can hinder your baby's hearing. Don't let this happen; take a few minutes to follow these steps to remove wax from your baby's ears.Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Baby safety swab
Instructions
Dampen a washcloth with warm water. If possible, use a baby washcloth since the material is softer and will be gentler on your baby's ears.
Clean around your baby's ears with the washcloth, and wipe away any visible earwax.
Use a baby safety swab to clean wax from your baby's ears if you are unable to remove the wax using a washcloth.
Schedule an appointment with your baby's pediatrician if the earwax has built up inside his ear. The pediatrician can flush out the wax.
