How much weight do you lose after death?
Immediately after death, a human loses an average of 21 grams. This phenomenon, known as the “21-gram weight loss,” doesn't have any scientific basis but was popularized by Dr. Duncan MacDougall, a physician who conducted experiments in the early 1900s. However, larger and more modern studies have refuted these findings. Instead, weight loss after death occurs gradually as a result of dehydration and the decomposition process.Weight Loss - Related Articles
