Wine has about 100 calories per 5 ounce glass. Try adding a little grape juice to your glass of wine. This replaces some of the wine with a lower calorie alternative and doesn't taste much different. Most grape juice has about 60 calories per 5 ounce glass so you'll save calories.
If you usually order a wine cooler (red wine and Sprite) or a wine spritzer (white wine and Sprite), try adding calorie-free Sprite to your wine. This will cut the calories of the wine by about 1/2.
Do you usually choose a white Russian or a mudslide? Try ordering it with 1% milk instead of the whole milk they usually put in it. The drink will definitely taste thinner, but it will save you about 6 grams of fat and 100 calories per glass.
When ordering mixed drinks like Whiskey and Coke or Rum and Coke, opt for diet soda instead. This will save you about 75 calories per glass.
