How to Change the Battery in an Omron HR-100C Watch

The Omron HR-100C is a heart-rate monitoring system primarily used during exercise. The system consists of a watch receiver and a monitoring transmitter. The watch receiver is powered by a small lithium-ion battery, which occasionally will need to be replaced. The battery monitor shows "Low Battery" when the battery requires replacing. Installing a new battery only takes a minute or two.

  Take the watch receiver off and flip it over to expose the back of the display screen.

  Push a small coin, such as a penny or dime, into the battery case slot. Twist the coin counter-clockwise until the battery case pops off.

  Gently slide out the battery. Place the new battery into its place. Make sure the "+" sign faces up.

  Attach the battery case back onto the watch. Insert the coin again and turn it clockwise to tighten the case.
