How to Enhance Weight Gain
Some people spend hours working out and count calories in order to drop pounds or maintain their weight. But while many people are concerned with losing weight, others want to put on weight. Weight gain is harder for some due to a fast metabolism. But if you are looking to put on extra weight, there are tactics you can take to help you pack on the pounds.

Plan to eat at least three times a day. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do not miss meals. Skipping meals equals less calories and you're less likely to put on weight.
Eat plenty of carbs and healthy fats. Consuming fast food or fatty foods is an unhealthy way to enhance weight gain. Eat rice, pasta, bread, cheese and meats. Snack on nuts and fruits between meals to increase your daily calorie consumption.
Drink more throughout the day to increase calories. One eight ounce drink can have more than 100 calories. Drink beverages such as sweet tea, juices and smoothies to add calories.
Exercise less. Being active burns calories. Reduce your workout sessions and choose light exercises to avoid burning excess calories such as a slow walk or Pilates.
Build muscle tone in your legs, arms and stomach. Muscle weighs more than fat, and increasing muscle tone throughout your body adds additional pounds. Use hand weights, resistance bands or muscle toning machines.
