Nori is sometimes called "The Reservoir of Vitamins" due to its high vitamin content. Nori seaweed contains a high amount of vitamins such as Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B5. Nori also contains as much iron as one egg.

Nori contains as much protein as soybeans and is easily digested and assimilated into the body. The seaweed is also rich in amino acids and contains alaline, aspartic acid, glutamic acid and glycine.
