The Fruitarian Diet: What They Eat & Why
Fruitarians are people who follow a mostly raw fruit diet. Fruitarianism is based on the belief that the human body is meant to live off raw fruits and nuts and that the act of cooking destroys nutrients in food.-
Sweet Fruits

According to the Fruitarian Universal Network, fruitarians mostly eat raw, seasonal fruit, such as berries, apples, bananas and citrus. Organic fruits are recommended as often as possible.
Vegetable-Fruits

The fruitarian diet includes fruits that are not sweet, also referred to as vegetable-fruits. Common vegetable-fruits include avocado, olives, tomatoes and cucumbers.
Greens

Raw celery, lettuce, spinach and other greens can be consumed as part of a fruitarian diet, states the Fruitarian Worldwide Network
Nuts and Seeds

Fruitarians can eat unprocessed nuts, such as cashews, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts. Seeds, like squash or sunflower seeds, are also a major part of the diet.
Forbidden

According to the Fruitarian Worldwide Network, fruitarians cannot eat any dairy, meat, animal byproduct, processed foods, grains or any type of cooked food.
