Water Absorption & Hydration: How Your Body Benefits
Water performs many important functions in your body. Water regulates your body temperature; keeps tissues, organs and joints lubricated and supple; aids the kidneys by flushing waste products from the body and prevents constipation; enables absorbsion of minerals; and carries nutrients and oxygen to cells. Increased water is necessary in times when your body is stressed or sick. You will know when your body has assimilated the optimal amount of water when you produce colorless or light yellow urine.
Instructions
Drink the equivalent of six eight-ounce glasses of water every day. Mineral water is more easily assimilated in the body than distilled water. Minerals in water are also more easily absorbed than minerals in food.
Incorporate alkaline water into your diet. Alkaline water is an ionized water. Ionization breaks water molecules down into micro-clusters, increasing the body's ability to assimilate.
Place a humidifier or water fountain in your home and office. Your body needs more water in a dry climate. Supplement the water you drink with water molecules in the air through pumping steam into the air with a humidifer or creating a steady flow of water with a fountain.
