Natural Teeth Whitening: Quick Tips & Home Remedies
When you whiten your teeth, what you really are doing is removing the stains. Foods, beverages, smoking, medications, genetics and illness all play a role in how white your teeth are. Although a cosmetic dentist gives the fastest and best whitening results, it is possible to whiten teeth in a few minutes; however, the result is usually very subtle. Whitening the teeth using natural or home remedies is within the reach of most people and costs very little.Things You'll Need
- Glass
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Toothbrush
Instructions
Pour two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide into the glass. Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent found in most commercial teeth whiteners such as whitening toothpastes and whitening strips.
Pour 3 teaspoons of baking soda into the glass with the hydrogen peroxide. This creates a paste. Baking soda is often recommended as a way to scrub the teeth to remove stains.
Dip the toothbrush into the paste. Brush each tooth with circular motions but not up or down or sideways. Continue to dip the toothbrush into the paste as needed. Brush your teeth for two to four minutes for best results.
Rinse out your mouth with warm water.
