Denture Care: Daily Cleaning & Soaking for Optimal Health
Dentures, or false teeth, maintain a natural looking smile and make it easier to eat, but they do require special maintenance. Clean your dentures daily, especially if you use adhesive strips or paste to keep your dentures in place. For partial or single-tooth dentures, use the same cleaning methods.Things You'll Need
- Soft toothbrush or denture brush
- Denture cleanser
- Deep bowl or cup
Instructions
Brush the dentures with your denture brush, cleaning all sides or teeth and false palates. Hold the dentures over the bowl full of denture cleanser in case you drop them.
Set the dentures in the bowl for at least 30 minutes, preferably more.
Rinse the dentures with cool water before putting them into your mouth.
