DIY Survival Toothpaste: Natural & Cost-Effective Recipe
There are many reasons to make your own toothpaste. During an emergency situation, commercial toothpaste may not be available. The high cost of commercial hygiene products and potentially dangerous additives in commercial products are also good reasons to make your own. Whatever the reason for making your toothpaste from scratch, it's an easy and inexpensive process. - Baking soda
- Finely ground sea salt
- Peppermint oil
Instructions
Cover a table with newspaper or a disposal plastic tablecloth.
Place 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. sea salt, 1 drop peppermint oil and a few drops of water in your bowl.
Stir the ingredients with a spoon until you have a smooth, thick paste.
Place the usual toothpaste amount of this mixture on your toothbrush, and brush for at least two minutes for best results.
