Lost Tooth in Children: Understanding Post-Extraction Bumps & When to Worry
In most cases, a red bump at the site of a lost tooth in children is completely normal and part of the healing process. The bump is formed by the blood clot that forms in the tooth socket to protect it and promote healing. Within a few days, the bump should start turning into healthy gums. However, if the redness, swelling or bump persist or you notice other symptoms like pain or fever, it's always best to consult your dentist to ensure that there are no underlying issues. They can asses the healing process and provide guidance if necessary.Root Canals - Related Articles
