The Journey of Wastewater: From Toilet to Treatment & Beyond

The water and waste that goes down the toilet are sent through a series of pipes to a wastewater treatment plant where they are treated. After treatment, the clean water returns to the environment, the solid waste ends up as sludge that can turned into fertilizer that benefits fields and parks and biogas for transportation fuel and electricity which reduces the use of gasoline, natural gas, or coal and help us fight climate change.
