Sauna for Hair Growth: Benefits & How-To
Relaxing in a sauna lets you unwind after a hard day working or exercising--or just relaxing for therapeutic purposes. It also keeps your pores clean and allows you to sweat out toxins that are in your body. You can take advantage of the benefits of a steam sauna, but try incorporating your steam sessions with your hair care regimen. Using a sauna for faster hair growth allows you to make use of beneficial oils while infusing them into your scalp and hair follicles for healthy, shiny, long-growing hair.Things You'll Need
- 2 oz saw palmetto oil
- 2 oz chamomile oil
- 2 oz lavender oil
- 2 oz rose hip oil
- 1 oz polysorbate 20
- 1 Tbsp silk extract
- 2 multivitamin capsules
Instructions
Mix the four oils in a glass mixing bowl. These essential oils aid in better hair health.
Add the polysorbate 20, which is an emulsifier, and the silk extract to the bowl.
Microwave the bowl on high for two minutes.
Break the multivitamin capsules into the hot oil solution, and mix them in thoroughly.
Apply the entire bowl of solution to your hair and scalp. Massage your fingertips in circular motions into your scalp to help stimulate your hair cuticles with the tingling mixture.
Wrap your head securely with a towel.
Sit in the sauna, whether at your home or gym, for 30 minutes. This gives you the full relaxing benefit of sitting in the sauna along with the added benefit of steaming the beneficial oils into your hair. This stimulates faster hair growth while strengthening your current tresses.
