What Orthostatic
Orthostatic refers to a change in body position, particularly from lying down to standing up. It is often used to describe a group of symptoms that occur when a person stands up from a sitting or lying position, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. This is known as orthostatic hypotension, a condition in which blood pressure drops significantly when a person stands up. It can be caused by various factors, including dehydration, certain medications, heart conditions, and autonomic nervous system disorders. Some people may experience mild symptoms, while others may have more severe episodes that require medical attention. Treatment for orthostatic hypotension typically involves lifestyle modifications, such as increasing fluid intake and avoiding certain medications, as well as medications to manage blood pressure.Orthodontics - Related Articles
